Our team camp registration will be open to school and club teams who wish to participate in one of our soccer, volleyball, or basketball team camps. Our team camps will run for four days/three nights and will offer team development, high-level coaching and competition, and distinguished keynote speakers. Campers will focus on team-building skills focusing on areas such as communication, leadership, concentration and listening skills. Teams will stay in our air-conditioned cabins and will be provided three meals per day plus a snack. Our team camps start at $399 per player.

Tom Mitch, Soccer Camp Manager
Soccer Camp Manager Tom Mitch is the Recreation & Challenge Coordinator of our local soccer club, Shenandoah Valley United. Coach Mitch played and started on the Duke University Men’s soccer team throughout all four years of his undergrad and was a part of the first Blue Devil’s men’s team to win a NCAA Division I National Championship Soccer title. Coach Mitch has had a countless amount of experience in both playing and coaching as he has coached for 27 years, 5 of which include being a coach for SVU. Tom Mitch looks forward to continuing his coaching experience this summer with Horizons Edge Summer Camps.
Chris Dodson, Basketball Camp Manager
Basketball Camp Manager Chris Dodson is the head coach of the Spotswood High School Women’s Basketball team and is finishing up his 14 years at Spotswood. Coach Dodson has completed many successful seasons as a head coach, capturing 5 state titles and making in appearance in playoffs almost every season. Coach Dodson has experience with all ages as he has executed many basketball camps himself and led valley players to become college material prospects. Coach Dodson looks forward to working with new faces at Horizons Edge camp this summer!
Erin Harris, Volleyball Camp Manager
Volleyball Camp Manager Erin Harris is the head coach of the Bridgewater Women’s Volleyball team and she is getting ready to enter her 10th season with the Eagles. Coach Harris has led her team to multiple appearances in the ODAC playoffs, earning the title of ODAC Coach of the Year in 2018. Coach Harris has obtained many years of volleyball experience as she played at Juniata College and captured a regional title in each of her four years of attendance. With a winning record at Bridgewater college, Coach Harris looks forward to working with campers and helping each person to develop new skills both on and off the court.
What sports do you offer? We have specialty camps for soccer, volleyball, and basketball. If you can’t decide which sport is for you or want to try them all then maybe our multi sports camp is for you.
What age ranges to your camps offer? Our camps are for camper aged 6-16 years. During our programming campers are split into the following age groups; 6-8 years, 9-12 years, and 13-16 years.
What is your refund policy? In the case of a serious accident, illness, or other extenuating circumstances, refunds will be provided at the discretion of the Camp Director. No refunds or reductions are made for late arrival or early departure from camp. Any camper whose behavior disrupts the camp program or is harmful to him or herself will be dismissed with no refund. Campers found possessing or using tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or weapons will be dismissed from camp with no refund.
What if my camper takes medications? If your camper will be taking medications while at camp (prescribed or daily over the counter), you must bring your completed and doctor-signed note along with the medication. This must also be listed on the health care form found on your parent dashboard. Any dietary restrictions or allergies should also be listed on the healthcare form.
What type of camps do you offer? We currently offer day, overnight, and team camps for ages 6-16 years.
Can we view the facility before registering my camper? Yes, you can either call and let us know you want to tour the facility, or you can attend one of our open houses. We will be happy to accommodate you on this.
What does my camper need for camp? Comfortable athletic clothing closed toed shoes, and a water bottle are a must. Camper are encouraged to bring a towel and a spare change of clothes just in case it’s needed. Campers are also encouraged not to bring any personal items that could get lots or stolen such as cell phones, favorite toys, I pod etc. For a more extensive list check out our parent handbook.
What will my camper learn? Our sports camps will focus on areas such as ball mastery, attacking and defending, formations and team skills. Scrimmages will be held to put these areas of focus into action. Campers will also focus on team-building skills focusing on areas such as communication, leadership, concentration and listening skills.
Does my camper need to be a specialist to attend? No, our camps are created to help all levels of skill to succeed and grow.

What is your staff to camper ratio? We have a staff to camper ratio of 1 staff member for every 10 campers.
