The Edge is excited to offer week-long day and half-day sports camps in the following: soccer, basketball, flag football, lacrosse, and volleyball. Players ages 6-9 and 10-12 will learn their sport’s fundamentals, grow as an athlete and teammate, and become well-rounded in these dynamic week-long specialty camps.
Full day sports camps at Horizons Edge will run from Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Half-day camps will run from Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Each session is one week long, but we welcome players to sign up for more than one camp across the summer.
Alongside our top Horizons Edge coaches, players will become more passionate about their sport through a mix of drills, games, and spirited competition. We are committed to creating a safe, fun, inclusive, and memorable sports experience this summer!
What sports do you offer? We are excited to offer sports day camps in basketball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, and flag football this summer. We also offer multi-sports day camps for kids who don’t have a specialty interest, or for families to check out on weeks their sport is not offered. See our multi-sport camp page for more info.
What age ranges do your camps offer? Our camps are for campers ages 6-12 years old. All sports offer 6-9 and 10-12 age pods, except for lacrosse ½ day camps which offer 9-11 and 12-13 groups. Campers must turn 6 prior to the start of their camp session. Campers may turn 13 during their session.
What is your refund policy? In the case of a serious accident, illness, or other extenuating circumstances, refunds will be provided at the discretion of the Camp Director. No refunds or reductions are made for late arrival or early departure from camp. Any camper whose behavior disrupts the camp program or is harmful to him or herself will be dismissed with no refund. Campers found possessing or using tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or weapons will be dismissed from camp with no refund.
What if my camper takes medications? If your camper will be taking medications while at camp (prescribed or daily over the counter), you must bring your completed and doctor-signed note along with the medication. Please place the medication in a weekly pill case clearly labelled with the camper’s first and last name. This must also be listed on the health care form you completed during registration. Any dietary restrictions or allergies should also be listed on the registration form.
Can we view the facility before registering my camper? Yes! We will have open houses to see the facilities and ask any additional questions about camp on Sunday, April 25 from 1-5pm and Saturday, May 8 from 10am-1pm. Please sign up for an hour-long slot here.
If those dates will not work for you, give us a call to schedule a tour with a staff member during our office hours (9am-6pm, every day of the week).
What does my camper need for camp? All campers must have comfortable athletic clothing, a pair of closed toed shoes, and a water bottle. Players that have them are encouraged to bring sports-specific items (ex. appropriately sized ball, LAX stick, cleats etc.) for their sport. Sunscreen, a beach/athletic towel, and a spare change of clothes are optional but recommended.
Please label all gear with your child’s first and last name.
Campers are encouraged to leave personal items that could get lost or stolen such as cell phones, favorite toys, iPods, etc. at home.
All campers will be subject to our COVID-19 policies (including mask requirements), which are updated as statewide changes are handed down. Please view these restrictions here.
What will my camper learn? Our summer sports day camps will concentrate on building the fundamentals of the sport at hand through a mix of drills, scrimmages, strategic sessions, and games. Campers will also focus on team-building skills, communication, leadership, concentration, and active listening.
Does my camper need to be a specialist to attend? No, our sports camps are created to help all levels of skill to succeed and grow. All your player will need is an interest in the sport and we’ll take care of the rest!
That said, if your camper is not sure what their sport(s) of choice will be, we recommend our multi-sports day camps as another option – campers will participate in a survey of the sports we offer as well as camp classic activities.
