Ellington joins the Horizons Edge team with many years in recreation management. He served as the Director of Campus Recreation at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. Ellington studied sports management and graduated with a Master of Science (2007) and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science. In addition to his role of Director of Operations with Horizons Edge, Ray serves as the Head Girls Varsity Coach at Harrisonburg High School.
DeVeta Webb has joined the staff as the new Sports Director. Formerly from Florida, DeVeta, has a Degree in Sport & Fitness Management from Troy University. Prior to joining the Edge, DeVeta has worked in the various recreation/sporting organizations including the YMCA in Houston and the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC). She has been developing leagues, programming, and community activities throughout her career. Her passion for sports has fueled her involvement in many levels of the sporting world, including coaching, as an athletic director, and of course as a player.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Diaz developed a passion for playing the game of soccer at a young age. He carried his love for the game with him when his family moved to Pennsylvania where he gained recognition as an All-State and All-American Athlete. In Diaz’s pursuit of higher education at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, he continued his soccer career while graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management. Diaz went on to complete a Double Masters in Marketing and International Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the University of Valencia Spain. Combining his marketing knowledge with his sports experience gives Diaz the edge in working with sports enthusiasts and families in the Shenandoah Valley.
Originally a native to Page County, Virginia, Henry made a cross country journey to San Diego State University, home of the Aztec Warriors! This is where she earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Business Management. While Henry was a resident in San Diego, she worked in Corporate Sales and Event Operations. Henry also has enjoyed volunteering as a Volleyball Coach in her past.
Minnis was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, and grew up playing a variety of different sports. Growing up in a sports enthused family, Minnis graduated from James Madison University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Recreation Management. During her time at James Madison, Minnis served as the Student Team Manager for the Women’s Volleyball team for a season, she also interned with an athletic director at Darlington School in Rome, Georgia. Outside of the Edge and her love for sports, Minnis enjoys spending her time outside with her dog.

White comes to Horizons Edge as a star athlete with years of experience in sports programming. She attended James Madison University as a two sport student athlete in soccer and lacrosse. There she received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications and went on to become a four-time collegiate Lacrosse All-American, a five-time US Women’s Lacrosse team member, a member of the US Women’s Lacrosse U-23 Team, a two-time Collegiate Lacrosse Conference Player of the Year, and the 1992 Female Athlete of the Year at James Madison University. Most recently White served as the Regional Director of Coaching and Player Development at SOCA-Augusta. Prior to that, White served as the Director of Coaching at Shenandoah Valley United. White holds a number of professional designations, including a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) B coaching license.
A lifetime Shenandoah Valley resident, Timbrell brings her hometown values to Horizons Edge. A graduate of Broadway High School, she played basketball and volleyball for the fighting Gobblers and holds a second-degree black belt in martial arts. After graduating high school, Timbrell obtained a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from James Madison University. She initially utilized her graphic degree in the printing industry where she also began her career in customer service. With more than twenty years of experience in sales and customer care spanning a variety of industries, Timbrell appreciates the value of bringing people together for a common cause.
Born in Mexico, Osorio has called Harrisonburg home since the age of five. Osorio attended Lynchburg College (now named University of Lynchburg), where he played on the Men’s Soccer Team under Coach Chris Yeager. Osorio graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Business Administration. With a business degree and a passion for soccer, he put his education to work by becoming the owner and manager of Upper 90. Osorio also inspired the creation of the Valley Football Club, a year-round soccer league opened to youth and adults in the Valley, available to all levels of play. Calling Horizons Edge home was a natural next step as Osorio brings together all people of the Shenandoah Valley with a passion for soccer.

Young joins the Horizons Edge team direct from Camp Horizons, creating a strong partnership. With an Outdoor Adventure Leadership and Management degree from the University of Worcester, Young has committed his career path to the camp industry. Young began as a Group Leader at a camp in Perthshire, Scotland and then came over to the United States to join the Camp Horizons staff for four years as a Program Director. Furthering his career development, Young is currently taking courses to obtain his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) designation.
