Arrival/Departure:
Camp begins at 8am for Monday – Friday for the week you selected. We ask that all families arrive by no later than 8:15am, so campers can get started with their morning meetings. Camp Edge is located at 325 Cornerstone Lane, Harrisonburg VA 22802. When you arrive to camp, please drive cautiously down to the front of the building, following the traffic pattern.
Departure will begin at 3:45pm and all campers are picked up by 4pm. If a person other than those you have designated on your registration form plans to collect your camper, you must notify us ahead so that their information can be added to our roster.
What to Bring:
Every day at Camp Edge will be a highly active day. Campers should wear comfortable athletic clothing and tennis shoes. We ask that parents refrain from sending their campers with electronic devices such as cell phones or iPads. Campers will not have time to use them at Camp, and they may be damaged outdoors
We recommend that parents pack all campers with a bag that contains the following (all labeled with the camper’s name): a complete change of clothes (socks and underwear included), a water bottle, sunscreen, and a beach or athletic towel. Campers will be swimming and should bring a bathing suit, as well as a plastic bag to put wet clothes in to transport home.
Schedule Overview:
Campers will enjoy a full and varied day of 6 activity periods. Each day will generally include swimming (weather permitting) and clip ’n climb, with the remaining four periods covering different sports and activities. They will be served morning and afternoon snack, as well as lunch.
Food Allergies and Medications:
Snacks will be provided to all campers. We can accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions with no trouble, so please reach out to let us know of any of these if you have not already done so during registration. Snacks will include items like whole fruit, granola bars, fruit snacks, and popcorn. If you would like to pack specific snacks for your camper in their bag you may do so, however these snacks cannot contain nuts, and will not be able to be refrigerated or heated up. Campers should pack their own lunches or purchase the lunch add-on to have meals provided for them.
If your camper will need to take medication while with us, this must be packaged for the full week on Monday in a weekly pill case and given to the Camp Director during check in. Label the container with your camper’s first and last name as well as the time the medication needs to be administered. Campers with inhalers or EpiPens will be asked to self-carry these items in their bags from activity to activity. Please remind your child about the location of these items and instructions for their use.
Refund Policy:
- Cancellations made on or before May 1 may receive a full refund, less a $50 processing fee.
- Cancellations made on or before June 1 may receive a full refund, less a $100 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made after June 1 are ineligible for refund of fees.
No refunds or reductions are made for late arrival or early departure from camp. Any camper whose behavior disrupts the camp program or is harmful to him or herself will be dismissed with no refunds. Campers found possessing or using tobacco, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or weapons will be dismissed from camp with no refund.
In the case of a serious accident, illness, or other extenuating circumstances refunds may be provided at the discretion of the Camp Director.
